OUR MISSION
"Educating children and families in the creative practical performing arts to empower their lives."
"Educating children and families in the creative practical performing arts to empower their lives."
ATLA Theatre Company is the Atlanta-Los Angeles Theatre Company, a 501c3 organization providing training in the theatrical arts to children and their families from a creative and practical approach. The organization was founded by Connie Williams in February of 2014 out of a desire to provide training in the theatrical arts to children from a creative and "real world" perspective, especially for children living in underserved communities.
Our creative experience is delivered through interactive workshops and exercises conducted by local artists as well as guest artists from the west coast. The company is comprised of artistic professionals who share theatrical principles to instruct, entertain and enable students to use these teachings to improve their everyday lives.
ATLA Theatre expects to make an important impact in the community because of its hands-on and creative approach to promote and impart artistic and character building skills in children, while also seeking to improve and encourage reading, writing, and public speaking for children in the program. In addition, the organization seeks to eventually support families in understanding some of the business aspects of the arts by becoming a resource for information and guidance to families of young professional performers.
The motivation behind our vision is to EMPOWER the lives of young people and their families through the arts while having a "seriously fun" time doing it because at ATLA Theatre we care what happens to kids.
We accept donations to support our programs and student sponsorships. Your donation is tax-exempt:
